FORMAT

Yogic Studies courses begin with two weeks of on-site immersion, during which time you take classes from 6am to 6pm (Level 1) or 5:30am to 6pm.  Simple, nutritious breakfasts and lunches are provided.  You may take the two weeks consecutively or take each week separately over two different intensives.  The immersions are followed by Home Study.

Teacher Training courses start with two-week intensives, which cannot be split over two courses.  You attend and teach classes for about 12 hours a day.   Breakfasts and lunches are provided.

Satyananda Yoga Nidra® courses encompass two weekends of on-site training.  These weekends are held about 10 weeks apart.  Between and after these two weekends, there is also some Home Study. Most meals are provided during the on-site courses.

ON-SITE CLASSES

All classes are held at the Atma Center or at YANA's nearby residential facility.

HOME STUDY

Each course has a home study portion to consolidate the knowledge gained during the on-site classes.  For Yogic Studies, this portion includes a home yoga practice, assigned reading, quizzes and short assignments.  For Teacher Training, home study incorporates student teaching under the close guidance of a mentor and assignments related to becoming a professional instructor such as course planning, developing a marketing strategy, and student support skills. For the Satyananda Yoga Nidra® course, the home study focuses on practicing Satyananda Yoga Nidra® and doing practice teaching with the support of a mentor.

OPTION TO AUDIT YS 1

You may choose to attend the immersion without completing the home study.  The cost is half that of the regular course. Please note that this option is only available for Yogic Studies 1.
